The 7th Asian Congress of Dietetics (ACD), organized by the Hong Kong Nutrition Association, was successfully held from 6 to 8 July 2018. The theme this year is “The Rise of Nutrition and Dietetics in Asia”. Many overseas and local renowned experts in nutrition and dietetics were invited to share their expertise at the scientific programmes which encompass different areas of nutrition and dietetic such as nutrition policy, paediatric, geriatric, nutrition support, sports nutrition, nutrition entrepreneurs and nutrition communication.

ACD is held every four years. The first ACD was held in Indonesia in 1994, followed by Korea (1998), Malaysia (2002), Philippines (2006), Thailand (2011), Taiwan (2014) and Hong Kong (2018), and the 8th ACD will be held in Yokohama, Japan in 2022.
Lastly, the organizing committee members and Hong Kong Nutrition Association council members would like to thank The Hong Kong Polytechnic University representatives, distinguished speakers, AFDA representatives, guests, delegates, sponsors and all participants for making the 7th ACD a success!
